Music

I am a very musical person at heart along with the rest of my family.  I play the drums, my dad plays the B3 Organ, my brother plays the guitar and trumpet and my sister plays the piano and drums.  My mom attempts to sing along but usually fails to hit some key notes. We still love her.  I love my Family/Band.

I am very pleased with my badge.  I used picmonkey.com to edit my photo. The picture of the drumset was done by BBC (link below).

I decided to use a picture of puzzle because I think I am such a person who is not easily so approachable and mysterious initially. It might take a person a quite long time and patience to finally figure out what kind of characteristics I hold. However, once familiarized, I can be one of the loudest and funniest guy.

My Badge

The picture, or rather pictures, I used to make my badge somewhat illustrate my personality. If I’m not working on anything important, such as schoolwork, then I’m usually just fooling around in one way or another. Prior to this, I had never made a collage. Seeing that picmonkey.com, the site I used to create the picture, offered the feature, I just decided to make one.

My Badge is definitely a reflection of my personality. I am always smiling, always happy, and always excited about life. The picture I used for the background was actually taken at Wonderful Wednesday–my favorite weekly program! I chose the picture to show my love for Emory and all of its unique programs!

I chose this as my badge because I thought the fact that the painting is sectionalized by color in a sense represents the different aspects of my self. Overall, I am not that happy with this badge simply because I am not well versed in Picmonkey features and therefore could not do anything extravagant to my badge.

This picture is funny, I think, and it is an example of the kinds of pictures that I enjoy seeing on the internet. The dogs look so curious.

Most important panel from first 2 chapters of Maus…

I think the fifth panel on page 13 is significant in drawing out readers’ thoughts. Without any frames to decorate the panel, the author develops his father’s somewhat arrogant and confident characteristics by explaining and showing that his father called himself handsome that he “looked just like Rudolph Valentino,” a flawless, handsome movie star from what it looks like in the comic . By labeling such a characteristic, I felt relevant to the author because every dads including mine, likes  appeal to their children. Consequently, I was able to immerse more deeply into the author’s perspective early on in the story and was able to know more about his father as the  main character.
